The one thing I enjoy about using my blender for smoothie and shake creations, I can take a basic smoothie recipe and experiment with different ingredients that not only tastes great but has added health benefits. My recipe for cashew milk is just such an example.
I have always been a juicer and did not delve into the world of blending shakes and smoothies until my wife was inspired by my weight loss but did not want to go the juicing route. She decided to buy Dr. Ian Smith's book, "The Shred Power Cleanse: Eat Clean, Get Lean, Burn Fat" and his companion cookbook, "The Shred Diet Cookbook." I was encouraged by this and bought her the Nutri Ninja Pro (BL 450) Blender from Amazon.com.

So there we were, on one part of the counter top she was making smoothies and I was juicing my Kale, apples, celery and other greens. It was not until many months later that I went to a local juice bar and picked up 3 bottles of product. 1 green juice and 2 smoothies including Cashew Milk. I decided that I would start making this myself after walking out of the juice bar having paid $27 for 3 bottles. At $9 dollars a bottle I knew I could inconvenience myself for a little by making them myself. Besides the main ingredients seemed simple enough.
- Raw Cashews
- Pure Vanilla
- Filtered Water
- Dates
- Coconut Oil
- Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
